 \frac{2}{x}  +  \frac{2}{y}  = 13 \\  \frac{5}{x}  -  \frac{4}{y}  = -2 \\

Let 1/x=p and 1/y =q, we get

2p+2q=13 ...(1)

5p-4q=-2 ....(2)

Multiplying equation (1) by 2 we get

4p+4q=26 ....(3)

5p-4q=-2 .....(2)

Adding equation (3) and (2), we get

9p=24

p=24/9

Substituting the value of p in equation (1), we get

2 (24/9)+2q=13

48/9 +2q=13

2q=13-48/9

2q =(117-48)/9

2q=69/9

q=69/18

q=23/6

Now

1/x=p

1/x=24/9

x=9/24

and

1/y=q

1/y=23/6

y=6/23
