Answer:

3x+4y=4......1

⇒y=1-3x/4

putting the value of y in equation 2, we get

5x-2(1-3x/4)=11

⇒5x+3x/2=13

⇒13x/2=13

⇒x=2

putting the value of x in eq. 2,

6+4y=4

⇒y=-1/2

5x-2y=11 ....1

3x+4y=4 ....2

Taking one from them and solve for variable

3x+4y=4

3x=4-4y

x=(4-4y)/3

putting the value for x in the other equation

5((4-4y)/3)-2y=11

solve for y

((20-20y)/3)-2y=11

y=1/2

putting the value of y in any of the equation solve for x

5x-2y=11

3x+4y=4

x=2y=-1/2
