To solve this equation we need to apply substition method :

x - 15y = 2 -----(1)

x + 2y = 3 -----(2)

From eq (1)

x = 2 + 15y

Now substituting value of x in eq (2)

x + 2y = 3

2 + 15y + 2y = 3

2 + 17y = 3

17y = 3 -2

17y = 1

y = 1/17

Now we got value of y and we need to substitute in eq (1)

x - 15y = 2

x - 5(1/7) = 3

x - 5/7 = 3

x - 5 = 3 × 7

x - 5 = 21

x = 21 + 5

x = 26

Therefore x = 26 and y = 1/7
