141x + 93y = 189

93x + 141y = 45

Adding both equations.

141x + 93y = 189

(+)93x + 141y = 45

________________

234x + 234y = 234

x + y = 1

x = 1 - y

_________

Substituting the value of x in the second eq.

→93x + 141y = 45

→93(1-y) + 141y = 45

→93 - 93y + 141y = 45

→ 93 + 48y = 45

→ 93 - 45 = -48y

→ 48 = - 48y

→ -1 = y

________________

Substituting the value of y in

x = 1 - y

______

x= 1 - y

x= 1-(-1)

x = 1+1

x = 2

_____________

x = 2

y = -1

Hope it helps
