Solve the following pair of linear equation 2x/a+y/b=2;x/a+y/b=4

here is ur answer,

2x/a +y/b = 2----------eq 1

x/a - y/b = 4--------eq 2

here we use substitution method to find x and y

now from equation 2

X/a + y/b = 4

x/a = 4 + (y/b)----------eq 3

putting the values of eq 3 in eq 1 we get,

2(4+(y/b) +y/b = 2

3(y/b) = -6

y = -2b---------eq 4

putting the value of equation 4 in eq 2

x/a -(-2b/b) = 4

x/a +2 = 4

x = 2a-------------eq 5

so, x= 2a , y= -2b
