Step-by-step explanation:

2x +3y=19

2x=19-3y

x=(19-3y)/2..............(I)

3x-2y=21

3*19-3y/2-2y=21

57-9y/2-2y=21

57-9y-4y/2=21

57-13y/2=21

57-13y=42

-13y=42-57

y=15/13

Now, putting the value of y in equation I,we get

x=(19-3*15/13)/2

=(19-45/13)/2

=(247-45/13)/2

=202/26

=7.77
