Solve the following pair of linear equation by substitution method
x+y=14(1st equation)
x-y=4(2nd equation)

Answer 1

x=4+y-----(1)
substituting (1) in 1st eq.
4+y+y=14
2y= 14-4
y=10/2
= 5
substituting the value of y in (1)
x=4+5
x=9
