Answer:

3x+4y=10

or x=(10-4y)/3...........eq 1

putting the value in eq2

20-8y/3-2y=2

20-14y=6

14=14y

y=1

thus x= 2

by elimination

3x+4y=10..........eq1

2x-2y=2....multiplying both sides by2

4x-4y=8............eq2

adding eq1 and eq2

7x=18

x=2.5

y=1.5
