Solve the following pair of linear equation by the substitution method 1) s-t=3 , s/3+t/2=6​

Answer:

(s,t) = (9,6)

first take any one of the two equations,

you can see that the equation has 2 variables

make any one of of the variable as subject of the equation( as shown in equation 1 in the pic)

then substitute that variable in the other equation.

now you have an equation entirely with one variable.

so solve that equation

you will get a solution for one of the variables

now using any of the equation find the value for other variable.

that's it
