Answer:

Explanation:-

Solving the pair of linear equation graphically,

(a) is x+3y = 6

(b) is 2x-3y = 12

From equation a is x+3y = 6;

put x is 0 we get,

=> 0+3y = 6

=> 0+y = 6/3

=> y = 2

Their coordinate is 0 and 2

now,

putting x is 3 we get,

=> 3+3y = 6

=> 3y = 6-3

=> 3y = 3

=> y = 1

Their coordinate is 3 and 1

after these now,

putting x as 6 we get,

=> 6+3y = 6

=> 3y = 6-6

=> 3y = 0

=> y = 0

Their coordinate is 6 and 0

From equation b is 2x-3y = 12;

put x is 0 we get,

=> 2(0)-3y = 12

=> -3y = 12

=> y = -4

Their coordinate is 0 and -4

now,

put x is 3 we get,

=> 2(3)-3y = 12

=> 6-3y = 12

=> -3y = 12-6

=> -3y = 6

=> y = -2

Their coordinate is 3 and -2

after these both now,

putting x as 6 we get,

=> 2(6)-3y = 12

=> 12-3y = 12

=> 3y = 12-12

=> 3y = 0

=> y = 0

Their coordinate is 6 and 0

In graph,

Blue lines indicate = x+3y = 6

Red lines indicate = 2x-3y = 12

AREA OF TRIANGLE FORMED BY THE LINES

REPRESENTING THE GIVEN EQUATION WITH Y AXIS;

(Name of Traiangle is triangle DAC)

Area of /\ DAC = 1/2×B×H

/\ DAC = 1/2×6×6

/\ DAC =18 sq units
