X = 5 - Y ...............(3)
Put the value from (3) into (2)
2 ( 5 - Y ) - 3Y = 5
10 - 2Y - 3Y = 5
10 -5 = 5Y
5Y = 5
Y = 1...............(4)
Put value from (4) into (1)
X + 1 = 5
X = 4 ............(5)
➡From (4) and (5)
X = 4 and Y = 1
