Solve the following pair of linear equations 4x -y -8 = 0 and 2x- 3y + 6 = 0

4x-y=8----(1)

2x-3y=6-------(2)

eq.(1)*3

12x-3y=24---------(3)

Substract eq.(2) and (3)

2x-3y-(-12x-3y)=6-24

2x-3y+12x+3y=-18

14x=-18

X=-18/14
