Solution

Given That:-

  • 4x - 3y = 1 --------(1)
  • 5x - 7y = - 2 -------(2)

Find :-

  • Value of x & y by elimination and substituting method

Substitution Method

by,equ(1)

==> x = (1+3y)/4 -------------(3)

Keep Value in equ(2)

==> 5 × [ (1+3y)/4] -7y = -2

==> (5+15y-28y) = -2 × 4

==> (5 - 13y) = -8

==> 13y = 5 + 8

==> 13y = 13

==> y = 13/13

==> y = 1

Keep value of y in equ(3)

==> x = ( 1+ 3*1)/4

==> x = (1+3)/4

==> x = 4/4

==> x = 1

Hence

  • Value of x = 1
  • Value of y = 1

________________

Elimination Method

multiply by5 in equ(1) & 4 un equ(2)

  • 20x - 15y = 5
  • 20x - 28y = -8

_____________Sub. it's

==> -15y + 28y = 5 + 8

==> 13y = 13

==>y =13/13

==>y = 1

Keep Value of y in equ(1)

==> 4x - 3*1 = 1

==> 4x = 1 +3

==> x =4/4

==> x = 1

Hence

  • Value of x = 1
  • Value of y = 1
