Step-by-step explanation:

11x+15y+23=0 ; 7x - 2y - 20 = 0

11x+15y=-23 ; 7x-2y=20

11x+15y=-23 ....(1)

7x-2y=20. .....(2)

7x=20+2y

x=(20+2y)/7......(3).....from equation(2)

using equation(3) in (1)

11*[(20+2y)/7] + 15y = -23

multiply by 7 on both sides

11*(20+2y) + 105y = −161

220 + 22y+105y =−161

127y=-161 -220

127y= −381

y=-3

using value of 'y' in eqution (3)

x=(20+2y)/7

x= [20+2(-3)]/7

x=[20-6]/7

x=14/7

x=2
