3x-5y=4 (i)

9x-2y=7 (ii)

Elimination Method:

Multiplying (i) by 9, we get = 27x-45y=36

Multiplying (ii) by 3, we get= 27x-6y =21

(-) (+) (-)

___________

-39y=15

=》-39y=15

=》y=15/-39

=》y= -5/13

Now, putting y= -5/13 in (i)

3x-5×(-5/13)=4

=》3x+25/13=4

=》3x=4-25/13

=》3x=27/13

=》 x=27/13 × 1/3

=》 x=9/13
