x+y =5 ----------(i)

2x-3y=4 --------(ii)

multiply eq.i by 3

3(x+y)=5×3

3x+3y=15 --------(iii)

solving eq.(ii) and (iii)

2x-3y=4

3x+3y=15

-----------------

5x=19

x=19/5

x+y=5

19/5+y=5

y=5-19/5

y=(25-19)/5

y=6/5
