2x-7y=1........(1)

4x+3y=15....(2)

multiply equation 1st by 2 ,we get

(2x-7y=1 )2

4x-14y=2....(3)

substract equation 2nd by 3rd

4x+3y=15

- 4x-14y=2

= 17y=13

y=13/17

substitute y=13/17 in equation 1st.

2x-7(13/17)=1

2x - 91/17 =1

x= 17+91/2

x= 108/2

x=54
