=12a+7b=11 (multiply by 3)

now subtract (3) and (4)

we get,

now sub (5) in (1)

we get,

a = 1/3-----(6)

SO.

1/x +y=a

1/x+y=1/3

1/x-y=b

1/x-y=1

=x-y=1-----(8)

subtract (7)&(8)

we get ,

2X=4

X=2

sub x=2 in (7)

so,y=1
