Solve the following pair of simultaneous equations. 8x-3y=16 , 6x-7y=31 .​

so we get

48x-18y=96

48x-56y=248

so 48x will cancel out

36y=-152

y= -152/36

now put the value of y in euqal 48x-18y=96

48x-18×-152/36=96

48x -76=96

x=96+76/48

x= 172/48
