$therefre \: = > 2x = 3 \times 18$
(on cross multiplying)
$2x = 54$
$= > x = 54 \div 2$
$= > x = 27$
now another q.
$1.6 = \frac{y}{1.5}$
on cross multiplying....we get....
$1.6 \times 1.5 = y$
$= > y = 2.4$
