{\huge{\underline{\boxed{\red{\mathcal{Answer}}}}}}

Given:

  •  x - \dfrac{1}{4}*\left(x - \dfrac{2 - x}{6}\right) = \dfrac{2x + 8}{3} - 3

To find:

  • Value of x.

Solution:

 \implies x - \dfrac{1}{4}*\left(x - \dfrac{2 - x}{6}\right) = \dfrac{2x + 8}{3} - 3 \\

 \implies x - \dfrac{1}{4}*\left(\dfrac{6x - 2 + x}{6}\right) = \dfrac{2x + 8 - 9}{3} \\

 \implies x - \dfrac{7x - 2}{24} = \dfrac{2x - 1}{3} \\

 \implies \dfrac{24x - 7x + 2}{24} = \dfrac{2x - 1}{3} \\

 \implies \dfrac{17x + 2}{8} = 2x - 1 \\

 \implies 17x + 2 = 16x - 8

 \implies<strong> </strong><strong>x = -10 </strong>
