Given :  x+2y≤100, x+y≥10, x-y≥0, x≥0 and y≥0

To Find :  maximize and minimize: z=5x+10y

Solution:

x+2y≤100, x+y≥10, x-y≥0, x≥0 and y≥0

x+2y≤100

x + 2y = 100

(0 , 50)  , (100 , 0)  are the points Draw line passing through

0 + 0 ≤100

Hence Region towards origin

Similarly Draw other

Points obtained are

(5 , 5 ) , (10 , 0) , (100/3 , 100, 3) , (100 , 0)

x        y              z  = 5x   + 10y

5        5               75

10       0               50

100/3  100/3       500

100      0             500

Minimize z = 50   at   (10 , 0)

maximize  z = 50   at all the points on line x + 2y  = 100

which lies in the region
