Let the two no.s be x (greater no.)and y

Acc to ques.

x+y=60 ...........(i)

also we are given that x=3y+8

put the value of x in (i)

3y+8+y=60

4y=60-8

4y=52

y=13

x=3y+8=3(13)+8 =47

So,the no.s are 47 and 13
