x^{2} - 14x + 13 = 0

x^{2} - 14x + 13 = 0 \\ \\ {x}^{2} - 13x - x + 13 = 0 \\ \\ x(x - 13) - (x - 13) = 0 \\ \\ (x - 1)(x - 13) = 0 \\ \\ x = 1 \: \: or \: \: x = 13
