Given :  4ˣ⁺¹ - 3* 2ˣ⁺¹  + 2 = 0

To find :  Value of x

Solution:

4ˣ⁺¹ - 3* 2ˣ⁺¹  + 2 = 0

Let say  2ˣ⁺¹  = y

=> 4ˣ⁺¹ = (2²)ˣ⁺¹   = (2ˣ⁺¹)² = y²

=> y² - 3y + 2  =0

=> y² - y - 2y + 2 = 0

=> y(y - 1) - 2(y - 1) = 0

=> (y - 1)(y - 2) = 0

=> y = 1 or y = 2

2ˣ⁺¹ = 1

=> 2ˣ⁺¹ = 2⁰

=> x + 1 = 0

=> x = - 1

2ˣ⁺¹ = 2

=> 2ˣ⁺¹ = 2¹

=> x + 1 = 1

=> x  = 0

x =0  or  x = -1
