Solution:

Given Quadratic equation:

10x - 1/x = 3

=> (10x² - 1 )/x = 3

=> 10x²-1=3x

=> 10x²-3x-1=0 Compare this

with ax²+bx+c=0,we get

a = 10, b = -3 , c = -1

Discreminant (D) = b²-4ac

= (-3)²-4×10×(-1)

= 9 + 40

= 49

By Quadratic Formula:

x = [-b±√D]/2a

= [-(-4)±√49]/(2×10)

= (4±7)/20

Therefore,

x = (4+7)/20 or x = (4-7)/20

=> x = 11/20 or x = -3/20
