x²+2x-120

=x²+12x-10x-120

=x(x+12)-10(x+12)

Given quadratic equation is-

X² + 2x -120 = 0

Let us factorise it!

\mathsf{{x}^{2}+2x-120 = 0}

\mathsf{{x}^{2}+12x -10x -120 = 0}

\mathsf{x(x+12) - 10(x+12) = 0}

\mathsf{(x+12)(x-10) = 0}
