(y^2)+8y+16=0

(y^2)+4y+4y+16=0

(y^2+4y)+(4y+16)=0

{y(y+4)}+{4(y+4)}=0

y(y+4)+4(y+4)=0

(y+4)(y+4)=0

(OR)

(y^2)+8y+16=0

(y^2)+(2×y×4)+(4^2)=0

(y+4)^2=0

(y+4)(y+4)=0

From both we get:-

y+4=0

y=0-4

y=-4

Here is the answer!!!!!

Hope it helps......

Here,

in the first solution,

the coefficient of y is multiplied by 1/2 and then we have done it's square.

After which the sq. is added and subtracted in the equation.
