By using Distributive Property,

x2 + 5x + 4x + 20 = 3(x2 + 2x + x + 2) + 2x

x2 + 9x + 20 = 3(x2+ 3x+ 2) + 2x

x2+9x+20-3x2-9x-6-2x=0

-2x2 -2x + 14 = 0

Therefore x=7 or x = 6
