Step-by-step explanation:

 \frac{4x + 2}{8x + 3}  =  \frac{3x + 1}{6x + 3}

(4x + 2)(6x + 3) = (3x + 1)(8x + 3)

2(2x + 1) \times 3(2x + 1) = (3x + 1)(8x + 3)

6(2x + 1) {}^{2}  = 24x {}^{2}  + 8x + 9x + 3

6(4x {}^{2}  + 4x + 1) = 24x {}^{2}  + 17x + 3

24x {}^{2}  + 24x + 6 = 24 {x}^{2} + 17x + 3

7x =  - 3

x =  -  \frac{3}{7}
