Sanjiv has Rs. 3.10 in 10-paisa and 25-paisa coins .If the 10-paisa coins exceed the number of 25-paisa coins by three,how many coins of each does he have?

So, the number of 10-paisa coins will be x+3

Rs.=P. 3.10×100=310P

According to question:-

25(x)+10(x+3)=310

25x+10x+30=310

35x=310-30

35x=280

Thus, 25-paisa coins=x=8 and 10-paisa coins=x+3=8+3=11
