Solve the following simultaneous equation.
1) 3x - y = 2 ; 5x - 2y = 1.
2) 47x + 31y = 63 ; 31x + 47y = 15.
3)3a + 5b = 26 ; a + 5b = 15.
4)4m + 3n = 18 ; 3m - 2n = 5.
5)1/3 + 5y = 13 ; 2x + 1/2y = 19.

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-y=2. . . . . (Eq:1)

5x-2y=1. . . . .(Eq2)

from eq:1 we get the value of y:

3x-y=2

y=2-3x

Now substitute the value of y in eq2:

5x-2y=1

5x-2(2-3x)=1

5x-4+6x=1

11x-4=1

11x=1+4

11x=5

x=5/11

put the value of x in eq1:

3x-y=2

3(5/11)-y=2

15/11-y=2

1.36-y=3

y=3-1.36

y=1.64
