→2(x + y) = 4 - 3y ...(ii)
Now by further solving
(i)
→ -3 - x + 5 = y + 2
→ x + y + 2 = 2
→ x - y = 0
(ii)
→ 2x + 2y = 4 - 3y
→ 2x - y = 4
Now by subtracting (i) from (ii)
2x - y = 4
-x + y = 0

x = 4
Now from equation (i)
x - y = 0
→ x = y
→ 4 = y
→ y = 4
Hence
x = 4
y = 4
