solve the following simultaneous equation 3x-y=10 and x-y=2

3x-y=10

x-y=10-3

x-y=7

3x-y=10___1.

x-y=2____2.

Subtracting 2nd Equation from 1st.

We get.

2x=8.

x=8/2.

x=4.

Putting the value of x in 2nd Equation.

x-y=2.

4-y=2

-y=2-4

-y=-2

y=2.
