Answer:

x=25/11;y=2/11

Step-by-step explanation

7x+6y=17

7x=(17-6y)

x=(17-6y)/7--------------(1)

now

4x+5y=10

putting the value of x

4[{17-6y)/7]+5y=10

(68-24y+35y)/7=10

by cross multiplication method

68+11y=70

11y=70-68

11y=2

y=2/11

putting the value of y in eq no (1)

you will get the value of x as 25/11

if we check the values the answer of the two equations should be same

equation are 7x+6y=17

x= 25/11 and y=2/11

putting the values of x and y

7(25/11)+6(2/11)=17

(7*25+6*2)/11=17

by cross multiplication

7*25+6*2=17*11

175+12=187

187=187

LHS=RHS

similarly put the the values of x and y in eq 4x+5y=10

the answer of LHS=RHS
