3x-y-2=0. ...(1)

2x+y=8. ...(2)

3x-y=2. (from 1) ...(3)

adding equation 2 and 3

2x+y=8

3x-y=2

ans : 5x=10

x=10÷5

x2

substituting x=2 in equation 2

2x+y=8

2(2)+y=8

4+y=8

y=8-2

y=6

(x,y) (2,6)
