multiplying 1 by 10

40x + 30y = 480 -------------------3

subtracting 2 from 3

40x - 40x + 30y -(-6y) = 480 - 192

36y = 288

y= 8

putting in 1

4x + 24 = 48

4x = 48-24

4x = 24

x= 6

option 1 (6,8) is correct
