Given

  • 20x+2y= 10
  • 12x+6y=6

To Find

  • The Value of x and y

let

20x+2y= 10 –——— (1)

12x+6y=6 ————(2)

on solving Equation 1

~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   20x+2y= 10
~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   2y=10-20x

~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   y= \dfrac{10-20x}{2}
~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   y= \dfrac{2(5 - 10x)}{2}

~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   y= 5 - 10x
On substituting the y in Equation 2
~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   12x+6y=6

~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   12x+6(5 - 10x)=6
~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   12x+30 - 60x=6

 ~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   - 48x=6  - 30
~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   - 48x= - 24

~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   2x= 1
~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   x=  \dfrac{1}{2}

Putting x= 1/2 in y= 5-10x

~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   y= 5-10 \times  \dfrac{1}{2}
~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   y= 5-5

~~~~~~~~:~~\implies\sf   y= 0\\\\
Hance The Value of x and y is 1/2 and 0
