multiplying the equation number [2} with 3 both sides​

3x+6y=27_{3}

subtracting  equation {1}-{3}

3x+2y-3x-6y=23-27

-4y= -4

substituting equation number {4} in  {2}

x + 2(1)=9

x=9-2

x=7

therefore, (x,y)=(7,1)
