Solve the following simultaneous equations by elimination method.

2x – 3y = 14

5x + 2y = 16

\huge\underline\bold\red{Answer}

2x-3y=14 (1)

5x+2y=16 (2)

to Eliminate x from the equations we do 5×no1 equation and 2×2no equation

10x-15y=70

10x+4y=16

________

-11y=54

or,-y=54/11

or,y= -54/11

we put y= -54/11 In no 1 equation

2x+162/11=14

or,2x=14-162/11

or,2x=154-162/11

or, 2x= -8/11

or, x = -4/11
