Solve the following simultaneous equations
(i) 4x + 3y = 18; 3x – 2y = 5.
(ii) 2x - y=5; 3x + 2y = 11.
Hil) 2x – 3y = 10; 4x - 5y = 15.
(iv) 5x + 2y = 13; 4x – 3y = 15.
Ww3a - 2b = – 10; 2a + 3b = 2.

Step-by-step explanation:
ii) 2x-y=5; 3x + 2y =11
2x - y = 5..........(i)
3x + 2y =11.......(ii)
y = 5- 2x .........(iii)
substitute y = 5 - 2x in equation (ii)
3x + 2y =11
3x + 2( 5- 2x)=11
3x + 10 - 4x =11
3x - 4x = 11 -10
x = 1
put x = 1 in equation (i)
2x - y = 5
2(1) - y=5
2 - y = 5
y = 5-2
y = 3
