Answer:

Easiest question ever!!

x = 6

y = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

2x - 3y = 9 ------- (i)

2x + y = 13 ------- (ii)

Using Elimination method,

Subtract (i) - (ii)

2x - 3y - (2x + y) = 9 - 13

2x - 3y - 2x - y = -4

-4y = -4

y = -4/-4

y = 1

2x + y = 13

2x + 1 = 13

2x = 12

x = 12/2

x = 6

                                             OR

Using Substitution Method,

2x + y = 13

y = 13 - 2x ------- (iii)

Putting (iii) in (i),

2x - 3y = 9

2x - 3(13 - 2x) = 9

2x - 39 + 6x = 9

8x = 48

x = 48/8

x = 6

y = 13 - 2x

y = 13 - 2(6)

y = 13 - 12

y = 1

Answer:

hiiiiiii

Step-by-step explanation:

2x - 3y - (2x + y) = 9 - 13

2x - 3y - 2x - y = -4

-4y = -4

y = -4/-4

y = 1

2x + y = 13

2x + 1 = 13

2x = 12

x = 12/2

x = 6

OROR

Using Substitution Method,

2x + y = 13

y = 13 - 2x ------- (iii)

Putting (iii) in (i),

2x - 3y = 9

2x - 3(13 - 2x) = 9

2x - 39 + 6x = 9

8x = 48

x = 48/8

x = 6

y = 13 - 2x

y = 13 - 2(6)

y = 13 - 12

y = 1
