LHS=(sinQ+cosQ) ^2

=sin^2Q+cos^2Q+2sinQcosQ by using identity (a+b)^2= a^2+b^2+2ab

= 1 + 2sinQcosQ by using trigonometric identity sin^2Q + cos^2Q = 1

therefore, LHS=RHS
