X+2x=4....(1)

4x+3y=10..(2)

4x+8y=16...(3)

4x+3y=10...(4)

subtract equation..(iii)&(IV)

5y/6

y=6/5

substituting the value of y in eq (1)

X+2×6/5=0

X+12/5=0

X=12/5

Answer:

The answer to this question is 8/5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equations: X+2y=4....Eq(1)

                              4x+3y=10..eq(2)

From the equation given,

x+2y=4

x=4-2y...(iii)

From Eqn(2),

4x+3y=10

4(4-2y)+ 3y = 10

16-8y+3y=10

-8y+3y=10-16

-5y=-6

5y=6 (both side has negative sign so, now it will become positive)

y=\frac{6}{5}

Now from Eqn(i)

x+2(\frac{6}{5} )= 4\\x+ \frac{12}{5} = 4\\\\

x = \frac{4}{1}- \frac{12}{5}

x=\frac{20-12}{5}

x = \frac{8}{5}

Equation:

In its most basic form, an equation is a mathematical statement that indicates that two mathematical expressions are equal. 3x + 5 = 14, for example, is an equation in which 3x + 5 and 14 are two expressions separated by a 'equal' sign.
