x+2y=3/2.......(1)

2x+y=3/2......(2)

Adding equations (1) and (2) we get

3x+3y=3

therefore, x+y=1..... dividing throughout by3

....... (3)

now subtracting equation (1) from (2) we get

x-y=0

x=y........ (4)

Substituting value of x in equation (3) we get

y +y=1

2y=

y=1/2.

substituting the value of y in equation (3)

x+1/2=1

x=1/2
