Given : \frac{X}{A}+\frac{Y}{B}= A+B

\frac{X}{A^2}+\frac{Y}{B^2}=2

explanation:

\frac{X}{A}+\frac{Y}{B}= A+B..(1)\\\\\frac{X}{A^2}+\frac{Y}{B^2}=2..(2)\\\\\text{multiply 1 by 2}\\\\\frac{X}{AB}+\frac{Y}{B^2}=\frac{A+B}{B}..(3)\\\\\text{using elimination subtract 3 by 2 }\\\\we get\\\\X=A^2\\\\\text{put the value of X in eq. 2}\\\\\frac{X}{A^2}+\frac{Y}{B^2}=2\\\\\frac{A^2}{A^2}+\frac{Y}{B^2}=2\\\\Y= B^2

Hence , The value of X is A² and Y is B²
