Answer:

x = 3 and y = 3.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

3 x + y - 12 = 0

3 x = 12 - y  ... ( i )

x - 3 y + 6 = 0.

Multiply it by 3 we get

3 x - 9 y + 18 = 0

3 x = 9 y - 18  ... ( ii )

From  ( i )  and  ( ii )  we have

12 - y = 9 y - 18

9 y + y = 12 + 18

10 y = 30

y = 3

Now put y = 3 in ( i )

3 x = 12 - y

3 x = 12 - 3

3 x = 9

x = 3

Now we have x = 3 and y = 3.

Thus we coordinate point meet at ( 3 , 3 ) .

For x - axis at 3 and for y - axis also at 3.

Olaa!!!(hi)

The solutions for the equation 3x + y -12=0 are

(0,12).   (2,6).   (4,0)

For x-3y+6=0.

(0,2)  (3,3)     (6,4)

They meet at the co ordinates-(3,3)
