x + 3y - 6...(1)
x - y = -2...(2)

subtracting 1 and 2
x + 3y = 6
x - y = -2
-.....+.....+
4y=8
y= 2

x-y= -2
x-2=-2
x=-2+2
x=0

x + 3y =6

x-y = -2

--------- (substracting)

x-x +3y+ y = 6 +2

4y = 8

y= 2

*substituting the value of y in the second equation*

x-y = -2

x- 2 = -2

× =0

Therefore the answer is

x=0

y= 2
