Solve the following systems by Elimination by equating Coefficients method.
1/2x-1/y= -1 ; 1/x+1/2y , x is not equal to 0 , y is not equal to 0
Answer x= 1/6 , y= 1/4
(Class 10th)

To solve these Equations,Put u = 1/x,  v = 1/y
Then These Equations become

=> u/2 - v = -1    ...................(1)
=> u + v/2 = 1 ....................(2)

Multiplying (1) by 1/2 and adding it to (2)

=> 5u/4 = 1/2

=> u = 2/5

Similarly, v can be calculated

and then x = 1/u and y= 1/v
