Solve the following systems of equations by using the method of substitution.
1) x + y = 10; x - y = 6
2) x + 2y = 7; 2x + 4y = 14
3) x + 2y = 9; x + 4y = -5
4) 2x = y +7; x + y + 1 = 0
5) x=y-1; x-2y = -2
6) 3m-n=5; 2m + n = 5
7) 0.2x + 0.3y = 1.3; 0.4x + 0.5y = 2.3
8) y = x + 6; 2x + 3y = 3

Answer:

x +y =10.............1

x - y = 6

x = 6 + y.............2

on putting the value of x in equation 1

we get

6 + y + y =10

6 + 2y = 10

2y=4

y= 2

Step-by-step explanation:

i will only given one answer:---

1)x+y=10.

x-y=6.

so---

y=6+x.

put value in first equation.

so

x+6+x=10.

2x=4

x=2.

then ...

y=6+2

=8.

I hope this is helpful for u.
